District Teams March Well At Bulls Contest
Caledonian and! Bandoliers girls ^ marching teams travelled to Bulls last Saturday and were successful in gaining first and third places respectively. The results are as follows: — Contest march : Caledonian" (Levin) 290£ points, 1; The Fashion (Dannevirke) 289-A-, 2; Bandoliers (Otaki) 288; 3'. -Best leader: Miss S. Smith (Levin) 56 points, 1; Miss E. Mclntosh (Dannevirke) 55, 2, Miss D. Bills (Otaki), with 52 points, was. fifth (equal). Costumes: Caledonian (Levin) 1; Fowler, Drummond and Waddell (Hastings) and R.S.A. (Bulls) 2 (equal) . Bandoliers was successful in scoring 9-A more points than Municipal Band (Feilding), the' team which was successful in gaining second place in the centre championships to Caledonian (Levin) , and in conjunction with which will repfesent the Manawatu Centre at the N.Z. championships at Wellington on Saturday.
