Levin Farm Beat Rotary Club At Cricket

A game of cricket which was out-1 standing for the exijoymdni' ii pro--vi'ded was pla,yed durihg the: weekend at the Levin Farm, when its team scored a victory by two runs over an eleven represepfihg the' Levin Rotary Club. The visitors were most hospitably enfertaihed by members of the staff led by the head attendant, Mr. C. A. Guy. Winning the toss, the farm' team batted first and- qUickly gathere# runs, 64 being' placed on the board for the loss of only two wickets. The innings close-d for a welldeserved 110. T. Thompson found the bowling to his liking and turned in an excellent 43, taking the honours for the best knock of the game. ' S. Sloggett (21) and T. Rosso'n (14) batted well for useful contributions.
