NAPIER, Marcb 13. Injuries wkick neeessitated tbe amputation of a leg, were received by Mr. James Vernou Barnett,. aged about 40, whea a ear aiid truck cpllided 011 Taradale Road at 10.40 Saturday night. Mr. Barnett was seated on the decking of the truck. His leg was, broken and severely gashed. He was taken to hospital where the operation was per-' formed. •
