Fishing Trip To Kapiti A party of local fishermen journeyed to Kapiti Island yesterday, when an excellen^ day's sport was enjoyed iby the more experienced sailors. Those amateurs in the party reported that they enjoyed the outing very much apart from the boat trip, Dairymen AtBowls ... Although the cream of the district is gathered at the Shannon dairy factory, the staff bowling team' was not the cream of tne howlers in their match ' against a Featherston dairy team, played at Pahiatua yesterday. Although the local rink was defeated, the members spent an enjoyable day as the guests of Featherston. It was agreed that .the match be played at pahiatua to prevent any long travelling by either team. The local .rink comprised Messrs. J. Alexander, C. Young, R. S. Downes and H L. Norris. The latter 30ined the staff of the factory for the day.
