County Council Not Visiting Waikanae Beach
i . The Horowhenua County Council I has declined an invitation from the Waikanae Be'ach Progressive ! and Ratepayers' Association to pay | its annual visit to. Waikanae Beach j and discuss local matters. This in-' ' formation was contained in a letter I from the council received at a j meeting of the association on Sati urday .night. The chairman, Mr. F. Martyn | Renner, deplored the council's j attitude in- declining the invitation. He said it made a breach in | a custom which had prevailed for many years, and tyhich had always been most helpful Iri fostering a spirit of co-operation toetween the, L two bodies.
