Wool Values At Wanganui Sale Firm

WANGANUI, March 11. Early realisations at the Wanganui wool sale today indicated values about on a par with recent fixtures. The Continent and Bradford showed keen interest, wilh New Zealand mills paying prices in the top bracket for lots suitable for their requirements, these in most cases being finer kinds. Nineteen bales of Southdown at 40d produced the top price of the early section of the sale. Several lots of Southdown and Southdowncross lambs went to 37'd and 38d, New Zealand mills and the Continent being the buyers. Fine ewes wool was inclined to be slightly erratic.
