Radar Screen Around North America
Received Thursday, 7 p.m. WASHINGTON, March 9. The House today passed two Bills i to develop United States defences. The first Bill authorises the Air Eorce to spend 161,000,000 dollars on a radar warning screen around the United States and Canada. The other approves the construction of a 3000-mile guided missile range at an initial cost of 75,000,000 dollars. The final cost may he 200,000,000 dollars.
