- Motuihe and-Pine Island iavoured 18 p.m. closing of' -hotels -when they voted in the licensing referentlum on Wednesday. At the Motuihe booth, where men of the Tamaki' •naval establishment exercised their vote, 29 people were in favour of the proposal and only eight were for 6 o'clock. Thirty-six votes were cast for off-course betting and one against. On Pine Island seven residents votedl for 10 o'clock' closw ing and five for 6 o'clock closing.
