RONA OLSEN 'Mrs. Rona Olsen, international lecturer, psychologist, ' author and' powerful 'personaiity, was taken ill at "Nirvana," Otaki, her ' cottage . known to many as a "haven in the trees," ahd her death occurre'd later in the Palmerston North Hospital. The interment took place in the • Kelvin Grove cemetery last ;week. Rev. R. Plaistowe ofiiciated at the graveside and the pall-bearers were Messrg. J. Fabling (brother), A. Leigh Hunt, G. T. Many beautiful floral' tributes were placed on the casket. - To the many who attended 'Mrs. Rona Olsen's vital and dynamic lectures commencing in 1932 in the then Conference Hall, now the Reserve Bank Chambers, in the Dominion Farmers' Institute Building, Wellington, and onwards, the news of her death will be received with sadness. Among over 100 different le'cture titles used by this talented lady perhaps these five stand out, "Christian Psychology— "What it Means, What it does," "Your Life — How to Live it Successfully," "Why Death Cannot be the end of Life," '"The Contagious Thrill ' of Life" and "The Rose Tipped Fingers of the Dawn." This type of lecture was delivered by Rona Olsen to large audiences 'in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and England. Books could be written relating the experience's of this .remarkable woman. She was the author of booklets entitled "A Rendezvous With Life," "When Love is Born" and "The Key of Life." Of the many. poems written by her, none stands out so strikingly as "Nirvana," because of its truth and simplicity, for Nirvana was a mecca to which were attracted many persons distressed in mind or body who sought the' soothing ! influence of Rona Olsen's spiritual healing and they sought it not in ' vain.
