GISBORNE, March 9. A Maori who was found lying on the footpath in Gladstone Road on the night of February 22, sufferifig from a fractured skuil, died in the Wellington Hospital early this morning. He was: Kuki Green, aged 48, married, of Tahunga. After being in GisboTrie Hospital for some time, he was removed to Wellington Hospital on March 3, and an operation was later performed. A companion with Green at the time the injured man was fOurid alleged that Green was struck on the chin by a passerby. The police are inquiring for witnesses.
