Tlie dismissal today of 15 watersido woi'kers who had refused to handlo soda ash from No. 6 hateli of the steamer Nortliumberland lying at Prince's wharf, was another development in the industrial dis])ute which is extending in Auckland. The reaetions of trades unionists will not be known until after the meeting of union officials tliis after noon. The action eommittee of the Carpenters', Watersiders' and Drivers' Unions will veport developments to this meeting. The Auckland Port Committee of the Waterfront Industry Commission, faeing its first reall.v big problcm since the Mountpark dispute, met today to discuss tlie situation. Tt is understood that the dismissed watersiders automaticallv go on penalty under the rulcs of the Waterfront Bureau.
