Playei's will assemble at 8.30 a.m. at the bus stand and will practice tomorrow at 6 .p.m. New Leper Stafion A new leper station at Tetere; on Guadalcanal, is expected to be opened this month, Mr. P. J. I Twomey, seeretary of the Lepers' 1 Trust Board, said on Friday. Mr. Twomey diselosed that there were 1000 leper natients in the British South Solomon Islands awaiting fereatment, The new station will be staffed by a native doctor and two nursing sisters specially trained at the' central leprosy hospital at Makogai, Fiji. j ' , Good Organisation No smail amount of work was involved in arranging for the appearapce of the Wellington Wutersid'e, Junior Band in Levin during the weekend. Credit must go to Messrs. H. A. Robertson (president), W. C. Shilton (seeretary), M. H. Boyce (conductpr) and the committee of the Levin Military Band, who sponsored the visit, for the organisation. Mr. Eden, he said, had appealed very strongly for New Zealand's support to help Britain get on her feet by buying more manufactured goods. This was something all farmers would like to see, and he thought this view would also be taken ih the cities.
