Jap Soldier Killed Four Years After War
Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 28. A Japanese straggler was killed on Guam on Saturday night, over four years after the island was retaken from the Japanese, the United States Navy announced today. A message from Rear-Adiuiral Charles Townall, commander of the Marianas, said native hunters surprised two Japanese. One was killed and the other .eseaped in the underbrush. RearAdmiral Townall said there may be more Japanese on the island.
