A most enjoyable ijiiffet supper was arranged, with the . birthday cake taking the plaee of hOhOtir a.t the head of the table. At a stlitable juncture dui'ing the eveniilg,the guest of honoiir's mother presented her son with the citstomafy key of the door. Gahies, commuhity ,tingingj aiid other party novelties Were' enjOyed by those present lintil a late hotir. The singin'g of "Aulh Ldhg S^ne" brought a delightful eve'nifig td a close. Mrs. Devonshire remained in Shannon for a week as the gtiest of Mr. and Mrs. Gardner at their home in Whitiker Street.
