Moynihan Bros.' paddock at Engle's Road, which next Saturday will be the seene of the eltib's twfelfth anniial fixture. Considerable work has heen done to improve the groun'ds and, with the help- of harrows and a 'heavy roller, the paddock is now in good condition. The hurdles and highland dancing platform have been erected in readiness for the meeting. Anglican Ghurch. Reoperis The first service in the Ven. Elede's Anglican chttrch since it was removed from Bryce Street to its new site in Stout Street will take place next Sunday evening, wh,en the evensong service will be held at 7 p.m. The shiftihg of the Church was done in a very short time and as soon as the carpenters had cbmpleted their work, a band of willing helpers had, the ^ interior looking brignt. In its new sitnation the church will be very handy for the many who attend the regular services. School Jubilee The joint secretaries of the Shannon School Diamond Jubilee Committee, Messrs. L. J. Bowler and J. T. Bovis, have received many replies and some substantial dohatidhs from former pupils to the invitation sent out by the committee to attend the 60th anniversary celebrations. The committee is still anxious to know the whereabouts of former pupils, teachers ahd committeelnen. A radio announcement is shortly to he made from the f our main stations, and it is hoped that this will bring forward many more replies. It is anticipated that there will be a record gathering for the celebrations.
