Congratulations will be extended by bowlers to O. H. Symons, of Otaki Railway, for his good showing in the Wellington Bowiing Centre's champion of champions singles tourney concluded on Monday. . . ... Following three decisive victones 20 — 12, 21 — 13 and 25 — 8 in.the first three rounds, he met the ultimate champion in the semi-final and was beaten 15 — 20. One of the most even matches oi the tourney was that between R. S. Purvis (Otaki) and Spence (Victoria). They were nine-all on the 10th end, 11-all on the 12th and finished 19 all, Spence securing the shot in the 'play-off.
