"Henderson ,;easily ' headed McLeau by abo'dt" three yards and in spite of liis bad Start- dead-heated With the champion, C. Farker, in the fast time of 1 Osecs. Neither Henderson nor McLean Was up to the class of the field in the 220 yards, also won by Parker, aiid both finislied out of place. Parker won the event in 21.9secs, a provincial record for the event. Also at tliis meeting, the New Zealand junior pole. vault record was beaten by J. Eastwood, of Hamilton. Kastwood elcared 11 feet 1 inches | beating the record by 2.^ inches.
