Welcome Rain in Wairarapa
MASTERTON, Feb. 17. The drought in the Wairarapa definitely broke yesterday afternoon and evening when heavy rain fell for some hours. In Masterton and in the Southern Wairarapa areas over two inches fell. At Mangamaire five inches of rain was reported. No material damage occcurred, while pastures benefited considerably as a result of the rain and especially the dairy industry. *
