Individual Power Rationing Well Received

The scheme of individual' electricity rationing implemented by the board had been well received by consumers, who welcomed the opportunity to a-void- the inconvenjUence- of cut-offs, commented the fhanaglng-secretary of the ,Horowhenua Electric Power Board, -Mr. R. Applications for extension,s had numbered 33, including ' 20 lighting points, 27 heating points, four ranges, four water-heaters and five industrial motors. During the month 32 new installations and. 11 extensions had been connected comprising: — 30 lighting and heating installations, 13 ranges, 16 waterheaters, one milking motor, and six industrial motors. The total 'increase in connected load for the month was 213 K.W. New installations had been connected in the following areas: — Levin two, Foxton two, Shannon-Tokomaru one, .Otaki seven, Te Horo-Waikanae iive, Paraparaumu-Paekakariki 15.
