Ribbon For New Zealand's War Medal To Hand
m. .WELLINGTON, Feb. 11. The institution and issue of a Nevr Zealand war serviee medal, was app.roved by the Iving last October. An Army spokesman said to-dav that a small quantity of the ribbon for the new medal had now been reeeived. The ribbon is of a watered black^. bordered with white, coiours ehosen for their traditional association with New Zealanders. It is estimated that sqjme 330j000 ex-members of the Forees aitd auxilary war-time organisations, are entitled ts wear the medal and an order has b«een placed for full requirements of the ribbon. As soon as sufficient supplies como to hand -to perniit public distfibution, a further annoujicement will be made.
