More Show Successes to District Breeders
District breeders were well represented at the Woodville and Dannevirke A. and P. Associations' snows, held recently. At the Woodville show, Mr. A. M, Scott, of Levin, took the majority of the prizes in the Ayrshire cattle section. Bulls exhibited by him won che reserve championship and the junior reserve championship awards, while he also topk tpose of champion and junior champioij. cow. His other prizes were three nrsts and three secohds, In the same section, Mr. J. M. Mqrgan, also "a Levin exhibitor an^ nexed the bull championship and reserve champiop cow awards, to» gether with one first, two seconds .and one third. The junior champion cow in the Friesian classes was Mr. F. Qt Malcoim's. entry. Mr, Malcolm took • two firsts, a second and u third prize. Mr. R. w,. Jiorfie (Levin) secured second place in. the alj bfeeds section. • - a With Romney Margh sheep mjat' G. H. Weggery, of Levin, gained ohe first, a second, two thirds and v.h.c. The Field Estate (Waikanae) secured a first, a third and tw® v.h.c's. These two competitors also took prizes in the Southdown section. The Field Estate was awarded two third prizes, while one of Mr. Weggery's entries re* cbived a v.h.c. • In the Sheep dPg trials, Mr. T. Neylon, of .Otaki, won first piacfe. At Dannevirke, Mr. Malcolifj secured the awgrd for fhe chanplpion.and reserve champion cow. His placings were three firsts, three ' seconds, one third and one v.h.e.
