ALLEGATIONS PURE FANTASY U.S. MINISTER.

, Received Wednesday, 10.20 a.m. ! BUDAPEST, Feb. 8. Commenting on the trial of Cardinal Mindszenty, the United States Minister, Mr. Seldon Chapin, said: "It is what could be expected. The implications concerning me in the court president's final remarks, as well as the allegations during the proceedings, implying improper conduct on my part or that of the Legation, are nonsense and pure fantasy. "?t should be stressed that it is difficult for me to make any offieial comment on the proceedings since the Hungarian Government has not permitted any offieial Western dipiomatic observer to attend the trial. My demand to have a Legation observer present has not ever been answered."
