The first fatal trame accident in Palmerston North for some considerable tinie occurred on Saturday afternoon when a youth on a motor-cycle came into collision with a light truck near the junction of George and Cuba Streets and received injuries from which he died in the ambulanee on the way to bospital. He was: • Keith .Burns Andrew, aged' 20, a painter, residing at 9 Weston Avenue, Palmerston North. The motor-cyclist was. proceeding along George Street and was making a left-hand turn .into Cuba Street when the collision occurred with a light truck travelling along Cuba Street in the direction of the city. The truck was driven by Stanley May Robertson, of Lombard Street. Andrew received head and c;cst injuries. His motor-cycle was extensively damaged.
