Maori Shot: Murder Charge
' NAPIER, Feb. 8. ' The body oi a lviaori, Paui Pohio, aged 29, siugle, with a bullet wouncl in his hQaff, was discovered by a party of six police officers from Napier who hurriediy answered a teiephone summous ai 1.25 this moxmng from Tangoio, 15 miles north of Napier. As the result of their investig"ations today, a residejit of Tangoic will appear in the Magistrate's Court tomorrow charge d with the murder of Pohio. On their arrival at the house the police found that a domestic situation had developed into a shoot ing tragedy, Pohio 's body being found in a rear room of the house, The police party comprised Inspector C. Murphy, SeniorSergeant W. R. Miller, DetectiveSergeant A. Reid, Sergeant E. Rippin and Constables D. Walden and L. Dolman.
