Plot to Assassinate Polish Leaders
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. WARSAW, Feb. 6. A plot to assassinate leading members of the Polish Goveimment, has been smashed by the Polish seeret police. Mass arrests among former members of the Polish whrtiipe resi'stance movements followod the discovery of the plot last nxonth. An official statement said police agents found in the homes of tne arrested ringleaders, weapons of all hinds and large quantities of gold and paper notes. Arrgsts continue. The announcement followed rumours in January that workmen in the cliancellery of the Council of State found time bombs in a roonx to have been used later by President Boleslaw Bierut, Prime Minister Josef Cyrankiewicz and other Government leaders.
