The late Mark Hellinger's fma" production, "The Naked City," ■demonstrates how a picture can be intimate, honest and adu't and yet have vast entertainment values. In building this celluloid monument to New York City, Producer HeJlinger also built one to himself before he died. The Universal-Infernational release which opens tomorrow at the Civic Theatre, has two stars, Barry Fitzgerald and the City of New Tork. - d - As a Detective Lieulenant in New York's Homicide Squad, Fitzgera/d 3'ives an extremely warm and believable performance in the typical, .ngratiating Fitzgerald manner.
