Tomorrow Night's Big Sports Meeting
The committee of ' the Levin . Combined Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club has everything well organised for a successful meeting on the Levin Park Domain tomorrow night on the occasion of its annual sports. Speaking to a "Chronicle" reporter today, Mr W. F. Cribb, president, paid a tribute to the business firms who had contributed So generously to the appeal for trophies, with the result that a very attractive programme of events had brought forward not only widespread entries, .but some outstan'ding competitors also, particularly in the women's section. "We are looking forward to a bumper attendance of the public, not only for the club's sake, but to demonstrate to our visitors that the citizens of Levin and district appreciate them making the long • journey which the Hamilton boys, who arrived , this morning, have done. On behalf of the club, I make this appeal to every man and woman in the district— come along tomorrow night and support the citizens of tomorrow. It's a fine, clean and healthy sport, 'deserving of help. All competitors do best when a large number is present."
