WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. A jury in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday afternoon acquitted Harry Joseph Abbott Lomax, aged 32, motor mechanic, on both co'unts and he was discharged by Mr. Justice Fair. He was charged with the theft of a motor car from Kitty Curtin Banks and also with obtaining from Healey and Rowe, Ltd., New Plymouth, £510 with intent to defraud. Counsel for Lomax, a'ddressing the jury, said that Lomax had not regarded the car as stolen and had merely acted on instructions which he had con'sidered genuine.
