Methodist Guild Meets

The St. John's Methodist Ladies' Guild held its first meeting for 1949 in the Bible class rooms recently, when the president, Mrs. Kennerley, presided over a smaller gathering than usual. A number of apologies were received. Following the devotions, the president extended a welcome to all present, specially mentioning Mrs. Lovejoy, who had been ill and unabie to attend meetings for some time. Arrangements for the coming garden party were discussed and it was agreed that the tentative date of Tuesday, March 1, should be set down. Final arrangements will be made at the next meeting. The church door hostesses and guild visitors , were arrange'd. Afternoon tea was then served by 1 tffie 1 'hbStessesv 1 Mbsdam'es" ;T. - Taylor - ,and Hale, "who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The meeting closed with the Benediction.
