Record Entries For Next Saturday's Sports

The Levin Combined Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club has received record entries. for its annual open meeting on the Levin Park Domain next Saturday night. Particlarly pleasing is ■ the large number of women competitors, there being 26 in the 75 and 100 yards as compared with six in 1947, wnile there are 10 entries for the broad jump. In the men's events, both cycling and running entries are also well up on-the 1947 meeting. Individual entries are as follows, those for last meeting being given in parentheses: — Hop, step and jump, 11 (6) ; high jump, 4 (4) ; | broad jump, 9 (8) ; one mile open, 12 (10) ; 100 yards open, 12 (8) ; 220 open, 15 (9) ; 440 open, 11 (7) ; 880 open, 15 (12) ; 100 yards junior, 19 (15) ; 220 junior, 23 (17) ; 440 - junior, 18 (15) ; 880 junior, 15 (14) ; five-mile' A grade cycle, half mile senior, 26 (22) ; one mile, 26 (21) ; two mile, 26 (21) ; juniors half mile cycle, 31 (16) ; one mile, 30 (18); two mile, 30 (15).
