Imports for the lirst ten months of last year were valued at £107,890,000 compared with £102,083,000 for January to October, 1947. The ligures for 1948 are no.t Strictly comparable with those for 1947 -as the restoration of the New Zealand pound to parity with sterling resulted in lower monetary values as from August 20. ,
