Eeceived iSunday, 7 p.m. PEKTH, Jan. 30. ' In a sensational 100 yards race, Fanny Blankers-Koen fell two yards from the tape and was beaten out o± a place. Soon afterwards, liowever, she won the 80 metres hurdles in the Australian record time of 11.5 seconds. The old record of 11.(5 was set by Shirley Strickland last year. Mrs. Koen also won the higli jump at 4ft lOin. After the xneeting she was examined by a doctor who said fluid had formed on her riglit knee as a result of the fall. She was ordered not to put the'fbot'on the ground until she reached Melbourne. The Dutch star appeared beaten at the time of the ■.fall -by tlip locaj. girls ".Shirley Strickland and Vefna?
