BIG ELECTION MAJORITY FOR LABOUR PARTY
Received Monday, 10 a.m. TEL AVIV, Jan. 30. It is offlcially announced that Dr. David Ben Gurion's Mapai (Palestine Labour Party) polled over twice as many votes in the Israeli general election as its nearest rival, Mapam (Left-wing Socialist) Party. The full results, including the Army vote, are as follows: — Mapai 152,972, Mapam 63,107, United Reiigious Party 52,633, Heruth (formerly Irgun Zvai Leumi) 49,220.
