Mr. and Mrs. A. Curran, of Wel-, lington,' were the weekend " guests of Mrs. Currari, Senr., of ,the Albion Hbtel. : . ' Mrs. Ward, of the local school, teaching s'taff, has arrived back in Shannon after spending the -school vacation in the Nelson district. Rev. Mr; Bush, who will be well remembered loc.ally, has been spending a few days looking up friends in this •district. Mrs. Morris, an old friend. of the King family, has been staying with Mr. and Mrs. R. Roberts and Mr. T. H. King at their residence in Stout Street.
