Honours For Cyclist Colin Wilton, of Otaki Railway, has been notifled of his inclusion in the cycle team to represent Wellington against , Christchurch on Saturday. New Autobahn Highway The delegation from Otaki which waited on the Minister of Works, Mr. Semple, yesterday was advised that the Minister hoped to be in a position to give further particulars regarding the proposed new highiway in the very near future. Complimentary Functions The next four Saturdays in February will see four successive garden parties sponsored in aid of the Farmers' Queen, the flrst to be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tayior, Main North Roa'd. The Manakau Hall Committee will be ho^ding a dance at Manakau on February 12, when half the proceeds will be divided among the flve queens. Card Evenings Popular / The first of a series of six card evenings to be held in aid of the Textiles Queen was very successful, a satisfactory atten'dance fceing recorded. Prize-winners were Mesdames Beil and Cootes and Messrs. Wehipeihana and Wallace, while competition wiriners were Mrs. Tyrreil, of Auckland, Miss E. Goode and Mr. M. Alexander.
