SHORT MEETING HELD THIS MORNING.

WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. Despite a request last night by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. McLagan, that drivers should abandon their stopwork meetings, members1 of the- Wellington Drivers' Union attended a meeting at the Trades Hall this morning. Union officials said" later that more than 900 drivers were present td consider the present stage of award dispute. After the meeting the drivers ;returned pfomptly to their employment and it is stated by union officials that a minimum of delay has been caused to the industry. The drivers' meeting was follawed by discussions / by merhbers of the Union Executive.
