Tvvo-tooth wethers in med--ium store eondition- sold at 36s 4d, aged wethers in fat and forward order down to 39s 5d.

Fat sheep were in fairly sliort supply but the market held with 110 marked ■ appreeiation in values. Prime aged |ewes traded at £27 4d to 29s 4d and ■lighter weiglits at 24s lOd to 26s 7q. Prime young ewes changed hands at 41s ld. Good Down two-tooth ewes 1 sold at 37s 4d to 37s lOd with" others at 34s 4d and medium weight wethers ;at 35s ld to 38s lOd. Heavv lambs made 44s lOd, lighter bringing 31s 7d to . 32s 7d. The store cattle market was very ;llrm. There was spirited bidding from a large and attentive beneh of buyers. :The yarding totalled 370 and included a eo'nsiderable number of cattle that : required little fmishing. Two-year istqers brought up to £15 and they met i with lceen demand. There was a slight easing in the beef ; market eo-mpared with last week 's unusually strong demand but nevertheless the sale was spirited and quality beef brought good priees. There was a yarding of 140 head _ including severai pens of well linisbed heavy buJlocks which reached £25 16s, and heifers that exeited animated bif^d-ing up to £17 18s 6d. A prime Jersey lieifer made £17 3s 6d whiie cow beef range'd up to £17 3s 6d, 100 heavy A.A. bulJoc-ks in exeellent eondition and well linished £24 15s 6d, with the top beast bringing £25 10s and -others £25 11s, £24 13s Od and £23 18s 6d.
