Personal Mr. O. Birss, of Balclutha, is spending a holiday in Shannon as - the guest of Mr. and Mrs, A. F. Birss, Sheehan Street. Mr. andi Mrs. Frank Christian, of Taumarunui, are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs*. Parr, Thompson Street. Mr. Christian and his parents were well-known residents of Shannon some ten years ago, after which they left to reside in Bulls. ■
