More High Wool Prices At Auckland Sale
.AUCKLAND, Jan. 21. British and Continental buyers again monopolised buying at the second Auckland wool sale today. - They appear to have high limits, but with prices firming on yesterday's they were mostly able to get the wool they wanted. More thaii 5000 bales were sold in the first hour. 'New Zealand buyers paid freely for wool they wanted. One local firnr outRid the bench for hogget, (rising to 40d for one lot of eiglit balesT Overseas buyers competed keenly for Southdown lots, one taking 14 bales at 45-ld? and a French buyer eight bales at 43|d. About 22,000 bales were offerccl today.
