Motorist Injured In Early Morning Accident

A remarkable escape from more serious injury was experienced by Roy Stagg, an employee of the Glaxo Factory and resident in Palmerston .North, when the car which he was driving from Wellington early this morning, crashed into the concrete end of the bridge over the Manakau stream. | He suffered body and leg injuries j and was taken to the Palmerston North Hospital by ambulance. The ! accident occurred at 5.30 a.m. The vehicle was almost completely wrecked and the driver had a very fortunate escape, the force of the impact fortunately being taken to the side of the engine. The left side front wheel was pushed back almost under the floor boards.
