Ladies At Bowls
— y. *• With ideal weather conditions prevailing and the green in excellent condition, members of the Shannon Ladies' Bowling Club had an ideal setting for their match against Levin last Tuesday afternoon. Three rinks of Leviji ladies niade the trip and a very epjoyabie afternoon was spent. Although the home teams won on points with. 64 against Levin's 49, both teams won three of the six matches played, and the result was a draw. The ladies who. took part in the matches .were:— Levin: Mesdames Nicholl, Walker, Hendersen and Stevens (s) ; Mesdames Bonner, Lester, Gardner and Mudgway -(s) ; Mesdames W|lliams, Wickens, Sherwood and Gibson (s). Shannon: Mesdames Laing, Btern, Edmonds and Tricker (s) ; Mesdames Hunter, Peni, Cronquest and Aitchjson (s) ; Mesdames Coglan, Fitzgerald and Messrs. Stern and Harris (s) . The two men players made up a rink owing to the unavoidable absence of two of the local ladies. i
