Large Crowd Attends Evening Sports
There was a very good attendance of the public at the usual I weekly sports meeting conducted by '■fhe Shannon Amateur Athletic and : Cycling Club on the local dginain ; on Tuesday evening. Competition in the various everits w?ts keen and some very interesting finishe^ were I recorded, { As usual, the teams relay was thg i highlight of the evening. This event is proving very popular and on Tuesday evening six teams were entered, with the resuit that two heats were run. The result of the collection was most encouraging to the committee.
