Tlie work by the pupils of the Warkworth Dislricl Higli School to maintain a regular flow of food parcels to Warkworth School in Northiiiiiberlaud, has resulted in the Iligh School obtaining a badge dcsign wliicli is closely linkect with the history of England. The Dnke of Northumberland has given conseut to the use of liis crest, -tlie Percy Lion, as the school badge. Tliroughout tlie Aid to Britain camjiaigu, parcels liave been sent by the Iligl/ ' School , pupils to Warkworth School 111 Northumberland, from wliicli tlie North Auckland town 's founders came ncarly a century ago. Old Xorthuniberland naines are perpetuated in Warkworth by Coquct Strec't, Pulliain ltoad, Alnwick Street, Percy Strect and others, . A suilablc badge, remimscent of the town's foundation, was sought for some, , time by tlie Warkworth 'Districl ' iligh | School cominittee and the problein was I passed 011 to England in correspond)vence ,i\diieh.(accohlpanied food parcels.
