Social Hall Improvements To Proceed
It is the intention -of the 'Levin Borough Council to proceed with aiterations to the social hall in the, Regent Theatre buildings on the lines drawh up by the' building in-; spector, Mr. H. T. Tilyard, in a plan presented to the council on Monflay night. The work will. he caxried out by the . borough staff under the supervision of the building inspector, and he, also - has authority to hire additional labojir offered by a contracting firm. ! The main .altemtion will be the prqvisibn of a supper room to ineorporate the area now used as a cloak room, store -room -and photqgraph studio. The present kitchen will be shifted to the portion. now forming an alcove and ladies'' cloak room. The men's cloak room will -be in the present kitchen and the ladies' cloak room where the kitctien store room now is. The size of the present kitchen will be reduced to give additional width to" the corridor.- '
