More than 2000 bags of mail were handled by the Levin Post Office staff during the 20 days on which Ihe office was open from December 6 to" December 31.- ^ • • The actual total was 2269 bags, made up of 1159 outward and 1110 ihward bags. From December 6 to December- 15, 480 outward and. 407 ihward lots were handled. From December 16 to December 31, 679 outward and 703 ' inward bags passed through the office'. The heaviest day was on December 21, when 187 bags of mail were despatched outward and 63 sorted for local delivery. A direct contrast to this was on December 24, when the figures were two and 77 respectlvely. .. . .
