Health Stamp Sales Below Last Year
The total. sale of health stamps from the Levin Post Office during the present campaigb, which is now nearing conclusion, has reached £666, 9s 3d, compared with a total of £675 during the previous year. When the stamps first reached the public," saies were very strong and it apppared that they would eclipse any previous year. Howeyer, the excellent start dia not continue and the expected total "has not been reached. Commenting on the position this morning, the postmaster, Mr. A. V. Morgan, sai'd that there had been an improvement as far as the saies to the public were concerned, but colleetors had apparently. "held off" because of the expected release of a set of stamps for the -Royal visit. , '
