Persia Wants More Of Oil Profits
Eeceived Wednesday, 12.3 a.m. TEIIERAN, Jan. 11 . The Prime Minister, Mr. Maraghe, declared that the Persian Government wanted a larger share in the profits of the Anglo-lranian Oil Oompany and an increase in the proportion of Persians the company employed. The sanie applied to the I'ersian-Russian fisheries. His Government stood for the strietes! observance of some of the eonditions othe Anglo-lranian Company 's concessions and he added: "The wealth of tlu compttny does not aceord with the povertv of the nation. We demand a just return for our eountry's resourees. " The eoneession for the British Imperial Bank of Persia would not be renewed but if the bank wanted 1 o eontinue under Persian regulations fo private enterprise, there would be n. objeetion.
