Body Identified As Four Different Men
Received Friday, 8.50 p.m. ADELAIDE, Jan. 7. Oonfusion over a man's body I'ound on Somerton Beach near Glenelg in a ' sitting position six weeks ago. has resulted in the corpse being positively identified as four different men. The body has lain in the Adelaide Morgue sinee December 1 since when the man has been positively identified firstly by a woman as her son, secondly by a man as his brother, thirdly by a seaman as his shipmate, and fourthly by a man and woman as a neighbour. The police fear that they are still nowhere near finding out who the man actually is.. No marks of violence were found on the body and analysts and pathologists have failed to establish the cause of death. The man has not been reported missing. The body bore no papers and the clothing tags had been cnt from the clothes'worn hy deceased. Fingerprints have been circulated throughout Australia with- ^ out success.
