Disposal Commission states that tlxe quality of wool in general was of a very high standard and overall was eonsidered tlie best for a xxumber qt years, tlxe wool being bright, well grown and sliowing a lot of style and a minimum of tenderness. A fair proportion of the clxp contained early slxearing pre-lambing clips. Every sectioxx of the trade bOught freely; tlxe Continenf being particularly active on any line wools and oddments. Wherever aixy fine wools Were offered local mills were strongly in evidence and secured some clxoiee lines. Tlxe sale while no^ up to the reeorcl lavel of tlxe last Dun edin sale was particularly SuecessfuL A ixotahle feature was the easing tendexxey of any lines of fine erossbreds while pieces, bellies and neeks sold in some cases at littie less than fieece wool. All lines of hogget wool, especi ally those which were sound, met with a very keen sale.
