WELLINGTON, Jan. 6. The 'New Zealand Amateuf Gyciing Association^ received adyice today tliat two Australian amateur cyclists, 'Bid Patterson and Keifh Iieynolds, both ,from Victoria, will arrive at Auckland'1 by air on January 13. • Patterson was Australian representative at the OJympic Games last year and gained sixth place in- the 1000 metres time trial. After the Olympic Games he toured the Cuntinent and Jtook part in the world championship meeting at Amsterdam. Patterson is acknowledged to be among tlie six best - amateur. cyclists in the world. He holds several Australiaii "ehampiohships and is one oUtlie best riders produced in ^ Australia m the last dec.ade. He is 23 years of age, 6ft 2in. in height and scalea 14st. Reynolds is Australian one-mile ehampion and in 1947. was one-mile and five-mile junior ehampion of thc Commonwealth.
